Hidden away is this gem of a restaurant, a little Thailand under the bridge by the canals of Birmingham. When you enter the Kinnaree Thai, you enter a world of calm. Tranquil surroundings and attentive staff could lead you to believe that you have been transported to an island far away from Birmingham City Centre.
When visiting this fabulous restaurant allow time to relax and enjoy the Thai experience. The food is superb and reasonably priced; whether you make your own selection or ask the staff for their recommendations you will not be disappointed.
We have been highly commended in the Taste of England Excellence in Tourism Awards 2007.

The Kinnaree is one of the loveliest of Himmapan beings. Described as a beautiful half-woman, half swan, with the head and torso of a woman yet below the delicately tapered waist she has the body, tail and legs of a swan. Kinnaree also has human arms and the wings of a swan. While the Kinnaree has a male counterpart (the Kinnarar or Kinna Norn) and is similar in form. The Kinnaree is often seen in sculpture, traditional architectures, and temple murals.
